What you type stays on your device

The estimate, invoice, work order and purchase order generators run entirely in your browser. Business details, customer details, line items, logos, signatures and job photos are processed on your device, and PDF, Word and Excel files are created on your device. None of it is uploaded to ToolbeltDocs or to anyone else.

What is stored in your browser

To make the tools convenient, the site saves some information in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device and we can't see it.

• Your business details and logo — only if you tick "Remember my business details".
• Your last draft for each tool, so you don't lose work if you close the page.
• Your last 20 documents in "My documents", so you can reopen, copy or delete them.
• Document numbers used, so the next number can be suggested (for example EST-0002).
• Your default notes and terms — only if you tick "Use these notes and terms for every new…".
• Small settings, such as whether to show the panel after a download.

To delete this information, untick "Remember my business details", delete documents in "My documents", or clear this site's data in your browser settings. If your browser blocks storage, the tools still work; they just won't remember anything.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people use the site, which pages they visit and which tools are used. It uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.

We also send a few events when you use a tool: that a tool was started, that a PDF, Word or Excel file was downloaded, that a PDF was shared from your device, that a document was printed or converted to an invoice, that the design was changed, and that a recommended product link was clicked. These events include only the tool name and document type. They never include anything you typed into a form.

Google AdSense and advertising cookies

The site is free because it shows ads from Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.

Ads never appear inside the documents you create, and you never have to view an ad to download a file.

Your choices in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, advertising and analytics cookies are off until you make a choice in Google's consent message. You can change your choice at any time with the "Privacy settings" link in the footer.

Affiliate links

Some pages may show a recommended product, such as invoicing software, with an affiliate link. If you sign up through that link we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These links are always labelled.

The embeddable estimate generator

Website owners can embed our estimate generator on their own sites. The embedded version shows no ads and uses no analytics. Anything a visitor types into it stays in their browser, the same as on this site.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes basic technical information such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Children

The site is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Questions about privacy can be sent through the contact page.
